My Services

Please reach out to discuss rates and availability: michel.tvscholar@gmail.com.

  • I watch over 150 seasons of television a year. I live and breathe the medium. Whether you are looking for consultation on a television production on matters of LGBTQIA+/queer representation, character development, story structure, or providing you with research to assist in your script writing, I would be happy to take that work on.

  • I love speaking about television. I am available to appear on your podcast, moderate panels, and have guest lectured in several academic classrooms about television and my work.

  • I have written for a wide range of publications and am always looking to expand my portfolio, whether it is to contribute to a new vertical, an edited collection/book/manuscript, or work on a script.

  • I hold a Master of Arts degree from Toronto Metropolitan University and am well-versed in cultural studies. Teaching a course in television studies, whether in-person or remotely, would be a dream. I am also available for guest lectures on my master’s research or other topics.

  • My Instagram (@tvscholar) posts regularly about television to over 40,000 followers, and my newsletter is distributed to 3,000 readers. Although I am very selective about sponsored content, I am open to potential ideas and collaborations that would resonate with my platform.

  • Since the beginning of the pandemic, I have hosted and moderated monthly Zoom sessions to discuss television. TV Club has facilitated new connections and thoughtful analysis of television in an easily replicated format.

The format and space created can be built into at your weekly social Zoom hour for team building in remote work environments and amongst friend groups. I am happy to share this format and host a TV Club to get you started.
